Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ
Aside from school and working, I dedicate my time to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. I am an active member of this parish ever since I moved here. I went to Sunday school and graduated when I received my Confirmation. After I graduated, I became a Teacher Assistant and a member of the Youth Group.
At my church we hold many events such as weddings, easter egg hunts, Vietnamese New Year, etc. These events gave me the opportunity to set an example for the younger generation to follow and eventually lead the next class.
GXTT Basketball League
Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ is much more than just a church. It is a community of admirable people. When I first went to this church, there were no basketball courts for the kids to play in besides the one hoop in the parking lot. As years passed and the Parish collected enough money, they built a whole new building behind the church for the kids to learn and play. Eventually a basketball league was created in 2013 and is still going on till this day. This court helped developed my basketball game and it fueled my passion for basketball. This sport allowed me to quickly learn on my feet and the importance of teamwork.
